Medieval passageby *malaskor

Strolling through the ancient streets and alleys of Assisi one comes across a lot of passages and arches that are extremely interesting - sometimes the passages are newer additions through older buildings, sometimes the building was built over the street.

I love the logic-defying 'design' of these old buildings.

Look at those 3 arches, no architect would design something like that, but they are both graceful, and do their job efficiently without any 'fat' or 'makeup'.
